This contest will be completely FREE to enter and will have three groups:

Middle School Ski and Snowboarders : Group 1

High School Ski and Snowboarders : Group 2

Peoples Choice Award : Group 3

 

Middle School and High School Groups will have a 1st place prize of $500 CASH!!! and will also have awesome 2nd and 3rd place prizes! Peoples choice award will pay out $100 CASH!

1. REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FEB 23rd

 

Your team must be registered, that way I know what to expect for all the prizes!! IF you are not registered by this date you will not be eligible to compete this year!!! BY REGISTERING IT IS IMPLIED THAT LEGAL GUARDIAN PERMISSION HAS BEEN GIVEN TO ALL TEAM MEMBERS.

2.  Teams of 3 persons max.

 

3. Videos will be limited to 4 minutes or less. We are looking for your best!!

 

4. Teams MUST be of age per his/her group! Please be respectful of the other teams!!

        a. If anyone on the team is over the age limit (say 2 middle school one high schooler you will be entering in the high school group)

        b. If anyone in your group is out of high school, your team cannot compete / will be disqualified.

        c. I am aware that ages between 8th and a Freshman can be close if not over. In this instance the school that you are in (middle or high) will take precedence.

 

5. Teams will be judged on several aspects:

 

     A) Style (20 pts)

         -Personal or team riding style & riding creativity

         -overall team stoke level i.e. clips of funny outtakes, crashes, good vibes, etc.

 

     B) All Mountain (20 pts)

          -We want to see how you or your team can slay the natural terrain. We would like to see the following included: trees, moguls, powder,                 natural jumps

 

     C) Freestyle/Terrain Park (10 pts)

          -Tricks and jumps will be judged in and out of the terrain park!! A PARK EDIT 100% will NOT get you a win but the incorporation of the                    terrain park and other jumps is good.

            Freestyle will be judged on: spins, flips, rails, jumps, butters, grabs

 

     D) Overall Edit & Video Skills (30 pts)

          -We will judge on how well your music can match your riding i.e. best drops, intros, outros, etc.

          -The quality of film capture will also be judged; avoid shaky, foggy lens, grainy footage, etc. 

          -Overall impression, does your video feels like a short film or just 4 minutes of quick clips?

          -Copyrighted music will be a deduction in points due to the nature of posting on Facebook or YouTube. Please consider using music or                    beats that aren’t copyrighted or make your own.

6. People's Choice Awards:

 

     a. The Peoples Choice Award will be a "Like" Contest held on the official CBMAFC Facebook Page. 

 

     b. All will be pitted against each other (Middle School/High School) to see who can get the most likes in 48 Hours!
